Passive Income – November 2018

Once in a month I will publish a Passive Income Report. This will show you what changes happened in my portfolio and how much passive income I collected during the month. This month I received 214,6 € in passive income, which is a 88 % increase compared to last November.

Let’s take a look where did that money came from!

Passive Income

  • Omega Healthcare Investors (OHI): 119,1 €
  • AT&T (T) – 28,6 €
  • Apple (AAPL): 17,3 €
  • Realty Income Corporation (O): 12,2 €
  • Mintos (P2P loans): 37,4 €

To keep things as simple as possible, I have converted all currencies to Euros.

This year I have collected 2 181 € in passive income. My annual goal was 2 000 €, which means I finally reached my goal (Yay)! I will have to set more challenging passive income goal for the next year so I cannot reach it before December.

Dividend Increases

One company in my portfolio announced a dividend increase in November:

I am always thrilled to see dividend increases as they boost my passive income for free! This single raise increases my projected annual income by 10,1 €.

Buys/sells

I also made two purchases in November. First I bought 26 shares of AbbVie Inc. and later in the month 35 shares of AT&T Inc. These purchases increase my annual passive income by 159,3 €.

You can read more details about these purchases from the original posts (AbbVie Inc. / AT&T Inc.)

Summary

All things considered, November was a great month! Passive income increased significantly from last year and I was able to add attractively priced healthcare and telecom shares to my portfolio. Market seems to be really volatile at the moment and I think there will be good buying opportunities in the coming months.

Keep up the good work. Solid double digit year over year gain and I like your buys too. I also added to my ABBV and T recently. I’m still looking at T in December as well as MO as both still offer a very compelling high yield. Thanks for sharing.

ABBV and T are really popular stocks in DGI community at the moment! Hopefully AT&T will continue their dividend growth streak in December even if it’s going to be another 1-2 % raise.

      Thanks for the comment!

Terrific month and progress Deluge! You’ll love the dividends received from ABBV/T post purchase. They offer a nice value right now and a strong dividend yield. That’s packing a nice punch right there. Continue your strong progress and make every dollar count!

Thanks ED! It’s been a good year and fortunately I didn’t experience any dividend cuts, because those can really mess up the YoY growth.

Lots to love in this update, and congrats on a solid month that pushed you past your goal for the year! Do you think you can hit 2,250 or more with this last month?

You’ve been putting in some great work as your monthly totals are really starting to shoot up compared to prior years. There’s big things ahead!

Thank you for the encouragement! I think I will reach a little bit over 2 400 €, because December is fortunately a pretty strong month.

    Greetings,

nice potfolio and I like the mix with P2P.
I think that reaching your goal in November is just in time and shows that your goal was set right!

    Good luck.

      Hi Druss,

Thank you for your kind words! In my estimation my passive income goal was a bit too easy, but I’m going to make sure that next year it won’t be.

      Thanks for reading!

      Hey Lanny,

It was quite a busy month, but mostly because I migrated from blogger to wordpress and this is all new stuff to me! AbbVie offered a nice yield even before that dividend increase. That raise was a really nice bonus!

      Thanks for commenting!

It was really a great month and that YoY growth suprised me. Let’s hope you can find a good entry point for ABBV.

      Thanks for stopping by!

    Hey DD,

Your passive income really skyrocketed in 2018. You’re setting the stage to close the year strongly in December and then springboard into 2019!

      Hi Ryan,

I was saving money for an investment property last year, but decided not to buy one in the end. I invested my savings in late 2017-early 2018 and that has really boosted my passive income this year!

      Thanks for visiting!

    Hey DD,
That’s a great month and especially nice increase compared to last November! That dividend from OHI alone is worth ~half year dividend income from my portfolio 😀
    Keep it up!

      Hi Broke investor,

OHI really offers a sky high yield (7 %) and it’s also the largest position in my portfolio. Hopefully they will start increasing it again next year as planned.

      Thanks for visiting!
